Campus Tour and Twi

We all boarded the bus to go to campus around 10am. Its really close to our house we can even walk there to use the library and post office which is nice. There is also a night market there that we want to go to and then take pictures of Accra at night because the college sits on tp of a huge hill. There is a 3:2 ratio of male to female on the campus and they all live in seperate living blocks. 20,000 students attend the college and there is such an overcrowding that in the dorm rooms that have 2 bunkbeds... they illegally sleep 12!! Ghanians sense of helping others and helping family is so great that they let whoever needs a place tostay on campus live with them. I cant even imagine getting any work done in those conditions. The professors live right on campus with their families in bungalows which i think is a neat idea. The campus is HUGE!!!! It took a really really long time to tour, and everything looks more advances then I imagined. They offer classes in everything that SVSU does and the have masters and doctorate programs in certain areas too. We went to the bookstore and ate at the campus cafeteria. I tried the vergetarian fried rice which was super tasty, and some fried plantains which were super nasty lol! After that we went to our first Twi lesson at the Aya Center and learned grettings/responses and simple questions. We practiced our Twi as we walked back to the house and then all settled down and played some card games together and listened to music. I love how no one watches TV here (even though we only get three channels)! Tomorrow we get to learn how to ride a trotro!!
