Today was the first day that we had off and all to ourselves. We all woke up and got ready to venture to the mall as a group. We rode the trotro without a chaperone for the first time and made it in one peice and didnt get lost! YAY US! The mall was ful of Obrunis, all foreigners. We looked at a couple of stores but everything was really expensive. There were some clothing stores, jewelry stores, electronics stores and even a movie theater (we might go see Up lol). We also bought a few things in the Shoprite but it was also really expensive. It was the first grocery store ive been in since weve gotten here... we always get our food from the market and I can see why- the prices were really really high. I've been craving chocolate like no other so I split a twix bar with someone but sadly it tasted very different from the cocolate in America... so Im still craving it lol. Everyone ate in the food court at a place called Chicken Inn. Thankfully I did not because they all said the food was gross as I watched people pick bones out of their mouth from their chicken sandwhiches on a bun- low standards even for a fast food place :( We took the trotros home with no problem and a few of us decided to walk to the internet cafe by our house. Its not a far walk and its only 1 cedi an hour but the internet is really SLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW! Still better than no internet at all I guess. We can only use the internet at the school from 8-4:30 M-F. We went back home and reheated some leftovers and settled in to write about our weekend in Twi which was our first homework asignment.
